Al Mahd Day Boarding

Every parent wants a right school for his/ her child’s right education and growth. We, at Al Mahd, felt a day boarding system is the only answer to that. And hence the birth of Al Mahd Day Boarding School (AMDBS).

For the lower and higher kindergartens we offer only a morning session from 7:30 to 12:30 noon. However, for grade I to XI we offer a comprehensive schedule from 7:30 am to 3 p.m.

Through our special full-day schedule we ensure that after pre-lunch regular classes the children utilize post-lunch hours in school doing extra exercises like homework, playing games and learning extra-curricular activities under the supervision of expert teachers.

Little Gems Pre-school

We are a British owned Pre-school offering a full British Curriculum. In January 2007 we moved premises to a brand new, purpose built site with 8 classes, 3 large shaded play areas and fantastic facilities. We cater for children aged between 21 months and 5 years.

 

Rainbow for Kids
A new holistic learning centre based in Muharraq putting childhood fun back into learning. We have no computers or TV's. It is all about the children interacting with each other and the teachers. Children are never under pressure and absorb their lessons in a completely natural way.

Monthly fees for mornings are BD35. Afternoons BD 30 and full day BD60 for children aged 1 year and above.
Below one year mornings are BD45, afternoons BD40 and full day BD80

Alia’s curriculum is a developmental-based program concerned with the development of the whole child, emphasizing social, intellectual, emotional and physical growth. At Alia, the teachers carefully plan open-ended and child-directed activities and emphasis is placed on the value of play, learning environments and developmentally appropriate materials and activities. Our philosophy is that children learn through active and child-initiated play, through direct contact with concrete objects, through repeated positive experiences, and most of all, they learn through interactions with people who are important to them.

 

Steps Rehabilitation Centre was established
approximately 1 year ago, by a Bahraini family who has a child with cerebral palsy. They went to the USA to find treatment, as Bahrain was lacking in this category, and they began "intensive therapy" for their son. As this treatment significantly helped him, they decided to bring the therapy back to Bahrain with them, to help others in need.

 

We provide physical therapy to children with neuromuscular disorders. The intensive therapy is extremely important as these children need this style of therapy in order to re train their brains. The process is 2-4 hours /day, 5 days/week for approximately one month. After this course of treatment, the children take a break for 1-3 months and during this time,
they will practice a home programme that the therapists will provide and train the parent with. The physical therapy includes many new techniques including the therasuit, spider cages, massage and heat therapy.
